The Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) party has narrowly missed entering the Bundestag, falling short by just 13,435 votes.
Alleging errors in vote counting, the party has filed a case with the Federal Constitutional Court, demanding a nationwide recount before the official results are finalized.
Party leader Sahra Wagenknecht cited numerous discrepancies, including votes mistakenly attributed to other parties, as reasons for the challenge.
Internal tensions have also surfaced, with some members blaming the party's performance on its involvement in regional coalitions, such as the Brombeerkoalition in Thuringia.
Despite these challenges, the BSW insists on the need for transparency and accuracy to uphold democratic values.
