The Elbtower project in Hamburg, once a symbol of ambition for the Signa Group, is set for a revival.

The construction of the 245-meter skyscraper was halted in 2023 due to financial troubles faced by the Austrian investor René Benko.

However, a new chapter is unfolding as the Becken Development GmbH, led by Dieter Becken, is negotiating to acquire the unfinished tower.

An agreement in principle has been reached, and detailed contract negotiations are underway.

The project, which aims to be the third tallest building in Germany, is expected to house a natural history museum as its anchor tenant.

This development brings hope for the completion of the Elbtower, promising to transform the Hamburg skyline.
