Emergency Alarm Triggers School Evacuation

Published: 2024-09-10

In Hameln, Germany, an emergency alarm was triggered at the Elisabeth-Belling Comprehensive School, leading to the evacuation of the school and the nearby Albert-Einstein Gymnasium.

Emergency services, including police, fire brigade, and rescue teams, responded in large numbers.

A police spokesperson confirmed that an unknown individual activated the alarm button, but there is no evidence of an actual attack.

No weapons or injuries have been reported, and a special task force is managing the situation.

Students are being supervised at designated assembly points and will be allowed to go home, with classes suspended for the day.

The large-scale operation will continue until the alarm is confirmed as false.
