The Green Party in Germany is planning to counter false claims about their political goals more assertively.
Co-chair Ricarda Lang expressed concern over the growing animosity towards the party, which she attributes to widespread misinformation, such as the false claim that the Greens want to ban barbecuing.
Lang acknowledged that the party may have overly focused on opposing right-wing politics, which has not resonated with younger voters.
She emphasized the need for the party to clearly communicate its political objectives and vision for the future.
The Greens recently faced electoral challenges, failing to surpass the five percent threshold in Thuringia and barely securing a spot in the Saxony state parliament.
