In a recent public dialogue held at the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Berlin, German Economy Minister Robert Habeck launched a verbal attack on Bavarian Premier Markus Söder and Finance Minister Christian Lindner.
Habeck criticized Söder for his stance on energy policies, particularly regarding the development of a hydrogen network, labeling his approach as "deeply ignorant.
" He argued that Bavaria relies heavily on energy from other parts of Germany and should be grateful for the support it receives.
Habeck also took a jab at Lindner, stating that if he were ever to become Chancellor, Lindner would not serve as Finance Minister.
This event marks Habeck's return to the political scene after a summer break, as he positions himself as a potential Green Party candidate for Chancellor in the upcoming elections.
The dialogue also saw a sharp retort from CSU General Secretary Martin Huber, who accused Habeck of being the worst Economy Minister in Germany's history and of harboring an anti-Bavarian sentiment.
