In a groundbreaking move, RTL has announced a four-way TV debate featuring Germany's leading chancellor candidates ahead of the Bundestag elections.
The debate, dubbed the "Quadrell," will include Olaf Scholz (SPD), Friedrich Merz (CDU/CSU), Robert Habeck (Greens), and Alice Weidel (AfD).
This marks a departure from the traditional two-candidate format, addressing criticism of limited representation.
Moderated by Pinar Atalay and Günther Jauch, the event will air on February 16 at 8:15 PM.
The debate promises to highlight key issues such as economic recovery, asylum policies, and coalition dynamics.
With the election on February 23, this is the only direct confrontation of the four candidates, making it a pivotal moment for voters.
