Despite criticism from some quarters, Lauterbach defended the coalition's performance, emphasizing the need for upcoming healthcare reforms, including increased contributions to health and care insurance.

He acknowledged that these changes might be unpopular but argued they are necessary for better healthcare services.

Lauterbach also expressed his desire to continue as health minister, highlighting his commitment to further improvements in the healthcare system.
