Passengers of Lufthansa's Discover Airlines should brace for disruptions this week as the airline faces a significant strike.

The unions Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) and Ufo have called for a four-day strike starting Tuesday, August 27, affecting all flights departing from Germany.

This action stems from a dispute with the Verdi union, which has already established initial contracts for pilots and cabin crew.

However, VC and Ufo seek to implement their own agreements, arguing that Verdi lacks sufficient representation among Discover's workforce.

Discover Airlines, launched in 2021, operates 27 aircraft from Munich and Frankfurt to various destinations.

The strike highlights ongoing tensions within the Lufthansa Group, as unions vie for influence and better terms for their members.
