The annual Starkbieranstich event at Munich's Nockherberg took a sharp political turn this year, blending satire and current events.
The traditional "Politiker-Derblecken" featured biting commentary from cabaret artist Maxi Schafroth, who targeted CSU leader Markus Söder and CDU's Friedrich Merz.
Schafroth accused them of "wählertäuschung" (voter deception) and likened their ethics to "gurkenhobel" (cucumber slicer) salesmen.
Meanwhile, the accompanying satirical play, "Ein Wadl für Deutschland," humorously mirrored Germany's ongoing coalition talks.
It portrayed Söder as "Magic-Maggus," navigating political chaos, and Merz grappling with alliances.
The play's timely updates and sharp humor captivated audiences, offering a unique lens on Germany's political landscape.
The event underscored the intersection of culture and politics, sparking both laughter and reflection.
