German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has reaffirmed Germany's unwavering support for Ukraine amidst ongoing budgetary debates.

During his visit to Moldova, Scholz assured both Ukraine and Moldova of Germany's solidarity in the face of Russian threats.

He emphasized that Germany will remain Ukraine's largest European supporter, second only to the United States globally.

Scholz also highlighted plans to fund military aid to Ukraine through interest from frozen Russian assets, despite the technical challenges involved.

In Moldova, Scholz pledged support for the country's EU accession efforts and addressed the destabilizing influence of Russia in the region.

The visit marked the first bilateral trip by a German Chancellor to Moldova in over a decade, underscoring Germany's commitment to supporting Moldova's pro-European reforms.
