Germany has been hit by severe storms following a period of extreme heat, causing widespread disruption across several regions.
In Baden-Württemberg, the town of Bruchsal experienced significant flooding, with the Saalbach River overflowing and submerging parts of the town.
The severe weather also led to the temporary closure of the railway station in Bruchsal, although partial services have resumed.
In Niedersachsen, emergency services were busy in Aurich, where a nursing home had to be evacuated due to structural damage.
Meanwhile, in Bayern, a Eurocity train collided with a fallen tree, halting services and requiring the evacuation of over 200 passengers.
The storms, characterized by heavy rain, hail, and strong winds, have resulted in numerous flooded streets and basements, but no serious injuries have been reported.
