A tragic accident occurred in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, when a small aircraft collided with a wind turbine, resulting in the death of a female passenger.

The incident took place in the municipality of Nettersheim, located in the Euskirchen district.

The aircraft, a propeller-driven plane, had taken off from Würselen-Aachen airfield and was en route to Speyer in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Due to dense fog, the plane crashed into the wind turbine and subsequently fell onto a field.

The female passenger died at the scene, while the male pilot was severely injured and transported to a hospital for treatment.

Local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
