Severe storms across Germany caused widespread disruptions in rail and road traffic on Monday.
In the north, the Hamburg-Berlin ICE route was temporarily closed due to a fallen tree but reopened partially by late evening.
Meanwhile, in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), numerous regional train lines were blocked by storm damage, with some routes still facing delays or closures.
Emergency crews worked tirelessly to clear fallen trees and repair damaged infrastructure.
In NRW, the storm also caused road closures, including a major highway near Bonn, and led to dozens of fire department callouts for incidents like fallen trees and loose roof tiles.
By Tuesday morning, most rail services had resumed, though some delays persisted.
Travelers are advised to check for updates before starting their journeys.
