A 15-year-old from Wuppertal, Germany, has been arrested on suspicion of planning a crime, believed to be a terrorist attack.

The teenager, known to security agencies, has been in custody since September 20, following a court order.

Investigations revealed that he was allegedly in contact with an Islamist abroad, who encouraged him to carry out an attack, possibly targeting festivals or Jewish communities.

Authorities found chats on his phone discussing potential targets, and he had posted videos on TikTok featuring ISIS flags.
