Thousands of people protested in Marburg, Germany, against a planned reading by Austrian far-right activist Martin Sellner.
The demonstration, organized by the city and a network promoting democracy and opposing extremism, attracted between 2,500 and 3,000 participants, according to various estimates.
Protesters voiced their concerns over Sellner's "anti-human" views, which they believe pose a threat to the community.
The event, titled "No Propaganda for Remigration," highlights the city's disapproval of Sellner's presence, even though the reading is expected to be a private affair.
Many locals are frustrated that the city cannot prevent the event due to its private nature.
The protest underscores the ongoing struggle against right-wing extremism in Germany.
