Recent polls show a significant shift in Germany's political landscape.
The Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) is now just two percentage points behind the Greens, according to the latest Insa institute survey for 'Bild am Sonntag'.
While the Greens dropped to 11%, the BSW held steady at 9%.
The CDU/CSU remains the strongest force at 30%, followed by the AfD at 18% and SPD at 15%.
The FDP slipped to 5%, leaving the current 'traffic light' coalition parties with only 31% combined support.
These results suggest potential for new coalition formations, with CDU/CSU-SPD or a 'Jamaica' coalition of CDU/CSU-Greens-FDP as viable options.
