The AfD (Alternative for Germany) party in Schleswig-Holstein has organized a controversial meeting called 'Day of the Forefield' in Neumünster.
The event, attended by approximately 100 people, included representatives from groups classified as right-wing extremist by German authorities.
Police secured the venue as about 130 protesters, including members of Antifa, gathered outside.
A broad coalition including the CDU, SPD, and Greens called for protests against what they termed a 'fascist conference'.
The state interior ministry criticized the meeting, noting that several participating organizations are considered definitively right-wing extremist by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
The AfD's event has sparked concern and condemnation from various political parties and activist groups across Germany.
