Deutsche Bahn Unveils New Timetable

Published: 2024-12-15

The Deutsche Bahn's new timetable, effective this Sunday, introduces expanded international routes and higher ticket prices.

Travelers can now enjoy direct connections from Berlin to Paris in eight hours and Munich to Amsterdam.

Domestically, six new high-speed "Sprinter" trains will cut travel time between Berlin and Frankfurt to four hours.

However, Flexprice tickets will see a 5.9% price hike, and the Bahncard 100 will also cost more.

Despite these increases, entry-level Spar and Superspar tickets remain unchanged.

The changes aim to enhance connectivity while addressing challenges like infrastructure upgrades and staff shortages.
