German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock reaffirmed Germany's unwavering support for Ukraine during her recent visit to Kyiv.

This marks her eighth visit since the onset of the Russian invasion in February 2022. Baerbock emphasized Germany's commitment to aiding Ukraine in achieving a just peace and highlighted the importance of protecting Ukraine's energy infrastructure as the third winter of the war approaches.

Germany has contributed an additional €170 million in emergency aid for Ukraine's winter protection.

During her visit, Baerbock inspected German-supplied Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, which have been instrumental in defending against Russian drone attacks.

Ukrainian soldiers reported successfully downing three Russian drones recently and requested further support in terms of materials and ammunition.

Baerbock's visit underscores Germany's continued solidarity with Ukraine amidst ongoing Russian aggression.
