The German Navy is facing a troubling wave of suspected sabotage incidents targeting its warships.
Most recently, an attempt to contaminate the drinking water of the frigate "Hessen" with used oil was thwarted by vigilant crew members.
This follows other alarming cases, including severed cables on a minehunter in Rostock and metal shavings found in the propulsion system of the corvette "Emden.
" These acts, if successful, could have caused significant damage to the vessels.
Authorities, including the Rostock prosecutor's office, are investigating these incidents as deliberate sabotage.
The Navy has implemented heightened security measures at shipyards to prevent further attacks.
These events highlight growing concerns over the security of Germany's defense infrastructure.
