A right-wing demonstration is set to take place in Berlin-Friedrichshain today, sparking significant counter-protests from left-wing groups.
Originally planned to pass through Rigaer Straße, a hotspot for leftist activism, the route has been altered to avoid potential clashes.
The march will now proceed from Ostkreuz station to Frankfurter Allee and Lichtenberg.
While 500 participants were registered, authorities expect only 50 to 100 attendees.
Meanwhile, 15 counter-demonstrations with varying group sizes have been organized across the area.
Police are preparing for possible blockades and aim to ensure peaceful demonstrations on both sides.
