Thuringia's AfD leader, Björn Höcke, has solidified his influence in German politics following the party's record-breaking 38.6% vote in the state.
With eight representatives now in the Bundestag, Höcke's close allies, including Stefan Möller and Torben Braga, are set to amplify the party's agenda at the federal level.
Möller, a long-time confidant, will lead the Thuringian group in the Bundestag, while Braga brings strategic expertise.
Höcke, however, remains focused on state politics, aiming to become Thuringia's Minister-President.
He has vowed to continue the AfD's confrontational approach in the state parliament, challenging the current coalition.
This marks a significant shift in the party's strategy, blending state and federal ambitions.
