A cable damage in Bremen-Oberneuland has disrupted train services, affecting ICE trains traveling from Hamburg to North Rhine-Westphalia.
The issue was discovered early in the morning, leading to the closure of the railway line between Bremen and Sagehorn.
As a result, ICE trains can no longer stop at Bremen Central Station and are being rerouted via Kirchweyhe.
Passengers are advised to use local trains between Bremen Central and Kirchweyhe.
Regional trains on the Hamburg-Bremen route are also experiencing significant delays and cancellations.
The cause of the cable damage is under investigation by federal police, with initial reports suggesting vandalism.
The duration of the repairs remains uncertain.
