Germany has initiated a new agreement to deport Turkish nationals back to Turkey, with an initial plan to return 200 individuals.
This move is part of a broader strategy to manage irregular migration, as announced by Interior Minister Nancy Faeser.
The deportations will be conducted via regular flights, involving various German states in the process.
Last year, 1,300 Turkish citizens were deported, and currently, 14,500 are required to leave Germany.
The agreement with Turkey aims to expedite these deportations, although it remains politically sensitive due to Turkey's geopolitical significance.
The Turkish government has been seeking visa relaxations in return, highlighting ongoing diplomatic negotiations between the two nations.
