Germany Rallies for Democracy

Tens of thousands of people gathered across Germany this weekend to protest against right-wing politics and support democracy.

In Berlin, around 30,000 demonstrators filled the Bebelplatz under the banner "Mutig.

Menschlich.

Miteinander" (Courageous.

Humane.

Together).

Prominent figures like musician Herbert Grönemeyer called for a welcoming and democratic Germany, urging voters to support democratic parties in the upcoming Bundestag elections.

Similar protests took place in Düsseldorf, Mainz, and Dresden, with participants voicing concerns over the rise of far-right ideologies and policies.

Organizers criticized the normalization of extremist rhetoric and emphasized the importance of unity and tolerance.

The demonstrations highlighted a collective stand against hate and authoritarianism, with symbolic gestures like colorful scarves and moments of silence for victims of violence.
