In the lead-up to Germany's Bundestag elections, thousands have rallied across the country under the banner of "Wähl Liebe" (Choose Love) to defend queer rights and democracy.

Berlin's Winter-CSD saw up to 6,000 participants marching from the Bundestag to Nollendorfplatz, waving rainbow flags and carrying slogans like "CSD statt AfD" and "Die Welt ist bunt.

" Similar demonstrations took place nationwide, with over 100,000 expected in more than 50 cities, including Hamburg, Osnabrück, and Mainz.

Protesters called for stronger protections for queer spaces, the inclusion of sexual and gender identity in Germany's constitution, and action against hate crimes.

Organizers emphasized the urgency of voting for democratic parties to counter rising anti-queer sentiment and protect existing rights.

The movement highlights growing concerns over societal and political shifts threatening inclusivity and equality.
