Thousands of people took to the streets in several German cities to celebrate Christopher Street Day (CSD), advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility.
In Bremen, approximately 22,000 participants joined the parade, which was marked by vibrant displays of rainbow flags and a strong political presence.
The event, themed "What more do we want? To be self-evident, to live self-evidently!", highlighted the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance.
Meanwhile, in Magdeburg, around 2,600 people participated, despite a counter-demonstration by right-wing groups.
Jena saw a turnout of about 1,700, with organizers attributing lower numbers to the heat and other CSD events in nearby cities.
The CSD commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City, a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights.
