The Grüne Jugend, the youth wing of Germany's Green Party, is undergoing a significant leadership change following the mass resignation of its previous board.

Jakob Blasel, a prominent climate activist, and Jette Nietzard, an advocate for refugee support, have announced their candidacy to lead the organization.

Their bid is seen as promising due to widespread support, and they are expected to be elected at the upcoming national congress in Leipzig.
