The Baden-Württemberg Greens are gearing up for the upcoming Bundestag election with a unique leadership duo.

Franziska Brantner, the new co-chair of the Greens, and her predecessor Ricarda Lang, have been chosen to lead the party's state list.

Brantner, who previously led the list in 2021, was elected with an overwhelming 92.35% of the votes, while Lang secured 94.36% for the second spot.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of addressing economic and social issues, with Brantner advocating for a digital transformation in Germany and Lang focusing on job security and family support.

Meanwhile, Cem Özdemir, the current Federal Minister of Agriculture, announced his candidacy for the Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, marking a significant shift in his political career.

The Greens currently hold 17 seats in the Bundestag, and with this new leadership, they aim to strengthen their position in the upcoming elections.
