A collision between two trams in Augsburg has left around 20 people injured, with six individuals requiring hospitalization, including three with serious injuries.
The incident occurred around 1:30 PM near the Rotes Tor stop when a tram from line 3 collided with a tram from line 2. Emergency services and police quickly responded to the scene to assist the injured, whose ages ranged from 14 to 78. Authorities are investigating the accident and have launched a case against the 25-year-old driver of the tram from line 3 for negligent bodily harm.
The area around the accident site has been closed to traffic for several hours, causing significant disruptions in the city center.
