Berlin's public transport is set to face major disruptions on Monday as the union Verdi calls for a 24-hour strike.
This marks the second strike in the ongoing wage negotiations with the Berlin Transport Company (BVG).
Verdi demands a €750 monthly pay increase, a 13th salary, and additional shift allowances for the 16,000 employees.
The BVG has offered a 15.3% pay rise over four years, which Verdi has rejected, calling it insufficient to counter inflation.
The strike will not affect the S-Bahn, operated by Deutsche Bahn.
Talks are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, but tensions remain high as both sides accuse each other of stalling negotiations.
Commuters are advised to plan alternative travel arrangements.
