Brandenburg's Interior Minister, Michael Stübgen, has banned the Islamic Center Fürstenwalde al-Salam due to its extremist affiliations.
The center, linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, was deemed a threat to constitutional order and public peace.
Police conducted raids in Fürstenwalde and Berlin, targeting the center's premises and associated private residences.
The center, established in 2018, offered religious and educational activities, which authorities claim included extremist indoctrination.
This move follows a similar ban on an Islamic center in Hamburg, highlighting Germany's crackdown on organizations promoting radical ideologies.
