On Saturday, climate activists from the 'Last Generation' group protested against the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on Rügen Island, Germany.
About 150 demonstrators gathered near Mukran seaport, with some unfurling a banner reading 'Clean Gas - Dirty Lie' from canoes near the terminal.
Activists also dyed the surrounding water green using uranine dye.
The protest escalated when 30 people blocked a road leading to the port for two hours.
Police removed 18 individuals from the street and issued 20 expulsion orders, with four activists taken into custody for non-compliance.
The German government defends the terminal, citing energy security concerns following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, despite local opposition and environmental concerns.
