Germany's Federal Prosecutor has charged four alleged members of the radical Islamic organization Hamas.

The men, arrested in Berlin and the Netherlands in December 2023, are accused of being part of a foreign terrorist group.

They allegedly held significant roles within Hamas, focusing on maintaining weapon depots across Europe.

These depots were reportedly intended for potential attacks on Jewish sites, including the Israeli embassy in Berlin and the US Air Base in Ramstein.

One suspect is said to have established a weapons cache in Bulgaria in 2019 and transported a pistol from Denmark to Germany.

Despite efforts, the group failed to locate a weapons stash in Poland in 2023. The suspects remain in custody as the Berlin court considers proceeding with a trial.
