Nationwide, the average cost for a WG-Zimmer has risen to 489 euros, marking a 3.6% increase from the previous year.
The study analyzed over 9,000 listings across 88 university locations, highlighting the growing financial pressure on students, especially those receiving late admissions or facing visa delays.
Despite a slight increase in the BAföG housing allowance, many students struggle to find affordable options within their budget.
