The weekend in Lower Saxony is set to be a mix of rain and sunshine, with temperatures ranging from 22°C in the Oberharz to 27°C in Hanover.

Saturday will see intermittent showers across the north, while Sunday starts off rainy but gradually clears up, reaching up to 28°C in Göttingen.

As the new week begins, the weather turns sunny and dry, with temperatures soaring to between 27°C and 31°C, thanks to high pressure from "Kai".

However, this warm spell is short-lived, as a cold front is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms by Wednesday, cooling temperatures slightly to between 25°C and 28°C.

The brief return of summer weather offers a welcome respite before the next wave of unsettled conditions.
