Employees in the cash and valuables transport sector continue their strike in Lower Saxony and Bremen, with 200 participants attending a central rally in Hanover.
The strike, called by the Verdi union, is set to last until Wednesday, affecting nine companies across the two states.
The union demands include increased overtime pay, standardized holiday and Christmas bonuses, at least 31 days of vacation, and higher hourly wages for approximately 10,000 workers.
The Federal Association of German Money and Valuables Services (BDGW) criticized the strike, arguing it worsens the industry's situation and accelerates the shift to electronic payments.
BDGW negotiator Hans-Jörg Hisam warned that such actions might undermine the union's own position.
