The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued warnings for heat and thunderstorms in northern Germany.

Temperatures are expected to soar up to 32 degrees Celsius in southeastern Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, while Helgoland will see a cooler 23 degrees.

Locally, there is a risk of severe weather due to heavy rainfall.

Strong thunderstorms are anticipated overnight into Monday, with daytime temperatures ranging from 20 to 23 degrees.

Showers are expected to move eastward during the day, accompanied by moderate west winds and occasional gusts along the coast.

Residents are advised to stay alert for changing weather conditions.
