Heatwave Hits Baden-Württemberg

Published: 2024-07-31

Baden-Württemberg is bracing for a heatwave, with temperatures expected to soar above 30 degrees Celsius in the coming days.

The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued warnings for extreme heat, particularly in the western regions, where local temperatures could reach 35 degrees.

This could potentially mark the hottest day of the year, surpassing the previous high of 34.8 degrees recorded in late June.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid the heat whenever possible, as high humidity levels will make conditions feel even more oppressive.

Thunderstorms and rain are also forecasted, which may provide some relief from the heat later in the week.
