Severe Weather Hits Baden-Württemberg

Published: 2024-11-19

Baden-Württemberg is bracing for severe weather conditions as the week begins.

The German Weather Service (DWD) has forecasted rain and strong winds starting Monday, with storm gusts reaching up to 80 km/h, and up to 120 km/h in the Hochschwarzwald region.

Residents are advised to secure any loose items that could be affected by the wind.

The rain is expected to be heavy, especially in the Schwarzwald, with up to 100 liters per square meter predicted in some areas.

As the week progresses, temperatures will drop, bringing snow to higher elevations by Wednesday.

The snowfall could lead to travel disruptions if it accumulates quickly.

The DWD warns of potential traffic issues due to the weather conditions.
